The Candies of the Gods

Once upon a time in a dark and decrepit castle, two people who had a particularly strong obsession with golden triangles were sitting at dinner and plotting, in the very purpose of stealing these triangles. Yet, the discussion seemed to have taken a turn for the worse, and the Lorulean Princess had a hard time keeping her calm.

"No, no and no."

"Princess, you need to consider--"

"We are not going to freeze the entire Zora population simply because they do not like you."

That was unreasonable, not to mention stupid. Hilda hardly believed she had to say these words. What sort of madman thought decimating entire species simply because they didn't like you was a good? Well, obviously Ganondorf was that kind of madman. With that level of crazy, she'd have to devise a plan to make sure he would never have a chance to get his hands on the Triforce, so soon as they'd have found it. An utter disappointment, she had expected more than Yuga's level of lunacy in him. Yet again, he and Yuga were ultimately the same people, only in different worlds. What had she expected?

"You are too soft for this. If you truly desire the Triforce, good feelings will not be of any help."

"Should I remind you we seek the Triforce so as to save our people? Would we be to do this to any who oppose us, we wouldn't be very different from the gods we loathe so."

Moments like this that made him think fondly of people he had barely been able to tolerate before. Like Zant. For how crazy he was, contesting his every orders hadn't been in his habit. That and at the very least, Zant had had no interest in using his precious Triforce for himself. He'd have to devise a plan to make sure she wouldn't snag the Triforce before he did. An utter disappointment, he had expected more than Zelda's level of good feelings in her. Yet again, she and Zelda were ultimately the same people, only in different worlds. What had he expected?

Whatever, he didn't need her opinion to do it anyway. At this point a servant came in to take away the dishes, and presented them with a dish that contained three splendid golden triangles. Which caused both the princess and the king to blink incredulously at them. Hilda was the one who reacted first.

"What is this?"

"The messenger you sent to the Goron returned with these, Your Grace." The servant replied. "These are the Goron's answer to your queries regarding the Triforce. Triangle-shaped golden candies."

With that said the servant walked away, leaving the two of them to stare incredulously at the candies for a while longer. Oh, and Ganondorf frowned. Obviously, the exquisite Goron humor was entirely lost on him.

"If you are about to suggest starving them off or feeding them to an undead dragon, then the answer is n-"

"I'm not about to suggest anything." Ganondorf replied and moved to take the dish with the dish with the candies "I will take these away, and take my leave as well. This dinner has lasted long enough."

Just as he was about to take the dish, Hilda grabbed it as well, frowning in return.

"I believe I'll keep them. I'm quite intrigued by this Goron food and would like to take a closer look at it."

"It is most likely poisoned." Ganondorf replied and tried to draw the dish to him, but Hilda just wasn't about to let go.

"Then if it's poisoned you probably shouldn't touch them, your highness." she tried to draw it to her as well, but figure, Ganondorf didn't let go as well.

"I'll take the risk."

And lo, after an intense (not) fight, the candies ended up like Lorule's Triforce, crushed and usable for no one.

The End
